Society Divers Alert Network (DAN) was founded in 1980 to care for the safety of divers. Society was founded by a number of famous Italian and U.S. scientists, university professors, who knew that in order to cope with life-threatening situations during diving, requires special knowledge.
DAN`s mission:
DAN’s mission is to provide and maintain an international emergency network of centers that are available 24 hours a day, if necessary, to guarantee specialized assistance to any diver anywhere in the world. DAN also provide medical advice, carry out research on diving safety, organizes courses and seminars aimed at increasing knowledge and diving responsibility as well as provide financial and technical support for baro-care centers in developing countries.
